Consequently, the Town has strong economic and development links with farming, this being the main productivity in the entire Vega Baja del Segura region, contributing some 15% to the GDP (gross domestic product) of Alicante province. San Fulgencio Town Square Between 1985 and 2008, San Fulgencio experienced strong and constant growth with the boom in the construction of second homes for vacation and residential use.
